Description

Once again, not my character, but the wunnerful *Esktasy's.

Meet Riwalon. Riwalon is a gosh darn gorgeous jester, and as you can clearly see, he is albino. (You can't even imagine the quantities of white wool I used in the last months and years.) I'm so proud how he turned out. Notice his nose and the finer painted eyes with their perky side gaze? Not to sound too full of myself, but photographs don't do him justice. Ah, btw, I myself was too stupid to take ones of him – at least ones in an acceptable quality –, so the photograph is by Esk herself, and as you can see, she still has not removed the rose ornament thingie I bound around Riwalon's neck.
Couldn't bring myself to add thumbnails to this one. It looks great in and of itself, doesn't it? (Still doesn't to him justice, though :P)
He wears a mi-parti blouse (red and chess board checkered, so technically, three colours) with bell shaped sleeves, white leggings, knee-lenght mi-parti pants, a checkered skirt, a white skirt, a white, red, and checkered jester hat, a red shoe and a black and white shoe I made from felt and a white collar with a safety pin with a heart on it that reads “made with love” :3 I made the patterns all myself.

It might be because I sewed (or at least tried to do so) with my newly repaired semi-antique sewing machine, which just hit puberty and has strange ideas and invents great things no sewing machine has ever done before... but making this fellow was VERY frustrating. When I had already attached the “skin” to his body and was half done needle sculpting the face, there was a sudden rip in the fabric, and now Riwalon has a little scar on his right cheek which the rose leaf covers up quite nicely ;) Detaching the skin had likely destroyed the head and the body, it was attached so firmly... I screamed in frustration when it happened, really.
It's the first time I needle sculpted the nose and the lips that way. I also tried a slightly different technique of colouring, and I'm very pleased with it. Oh, and Riwalon is my first doll ever to have a real wig. I sewed a little cap and attached single wool streaks on it. When it lay there on my table, it looked like some sort of dead guinea pig.
But it was really worth the effort, was it not? I'm so proud on how pretty he turned out :'D

The character belongs to my lovely :iconesktasy:, the doll is made by me.

Omgosh I'm amazedd by how you've done the facial features, particularly the nose. :o It looks AMAZING. I would love to be able to learn how to do that! The lips are just as amazing, especially with the colour added onto them. It just looks amazing! :D I'm more than certain he is being enjoyed to the fullest! :aww:
