Sunday, Bloody Sunday

Because calling artwork after U2 songs is always a good idea.

Depicted here is an ailing owl. Or at least, owl after a long time without coffee.
The face mask and the wings' outsides are plush, the eyes are buttons – it's hard to see but they look a bit like owls' faces themselves –, the eyelids and feet are faux leather, and the beak I made from polymer clay. The body is from some heavy fabric that feels like an old sofa.
I made this one while I was sick last Sunday, which probably explains the sickly look of this little fellow. (Being sick on weekends is such a pest.) Actually, though, it's inspired by the owl from the beautifully awesome Owl Know How video by the talented Cat-Rabbit. Only it's fatter and looking even more distressed.
I love my little fat owl, though.

Its name, btw, is Sunday. Because it was made on a Sunday and I couldn't think of anything more creative.
