Memories of Marquartstein

Something I doodled out of boredom and frustration because my brother asked me if I wanted to go air soft shooting with him and I said yes and then his buddies came and he went shooting with them without even telling me and having me wait for about half an hour and damn yes this had to be said.
Marquartstein is a lovely little town in the Bavarian Alps. The castle looks very small from most points in the town itself, but looks very castle-y when you stand right in front of it. Since it is in possession of an art vendor, it can't be visited, sadly. There are some beautiful legends surrounding it, one of them telling about Countess Adelheid, who married Count Marquart of Hohenstein (as Marquartstein was called back then, and yes, it was renamen in his honour. As to why they did so, considering he was some sort of local Henry VIII, is beyond me, though.) but then had an affair with the cook or something and was killed and her ghost carriage still can be heard driving arong the castle at night.
As the title suggests, this was painted from my memory. Soft pastels, about 2 hours.
